Nick A. Peters

Nick A. Peters, 65, of Findlay, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

He was born Nov. 12, 1958, in Findlay, to Walter D. and Joleen (Shank) Peters, the eldest of his six siblings. He married his first wife, Becky Gardner, on Feb. 4, 1978, and they divorced. He married his wife, Carla, on Sept. 3, 2011, and she survives.

Nick was a simple man who enjoyed his independence. He was a lover of animals, nature, and sports - especially Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes - who was still holding out hope for his Brownies. He could share fun facts and legacy rivalries in sports. His children were even able to get him curious about hockey. He enjoyed playing golf, softball, and bowling. Nick retired after 40 years from Ball Metal where he had a ton of pride for his work. In his free time, he enjoyed music (especially The Beatles), was a talented drummer, and enjoyed puzzles.

Nick is also survived by his mother; children, Mike Peters, Amy Peters, and Jeffrey (Lindsey Roberts) Peters; siblings, Teresa (Mark) Spence, Eric (Roxanne) Peters, Todd Peters, Kimberly (Tadd) Baney, and Deena (Ryan) Smith; several nieces and nephews; and cat, Valentine ("Squeekers").

He was preceded in death by his father, Denny Peters.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, until the time of Nick's funeral at 3 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay.
