Nellie Decker Obituary
Nellie M. Decker, 83, of Arlington, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born April 22, 1941, in Findlay to Marion and Margaret (Pearsall) Clymer.
Nellie graduated from Liberty-Benton High School in 1959 and married Jimmy Decker, Sr. on April 4, 1961. She retired from RCA after working there for 42 years and was a member of Houcktown Methodist Church. She liked to garden and loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. Nellie was loved by many and loved the Lord.
Those left behind to cherish Nellie's memory are her husband; children, Cheryl Kimmell, Jimmy "JD" Decker, Jr., Darryl (Karmane) Decker and Timmy (Lori) Decker; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; along with many extended grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Bud (Judi) Clymer, Marion (Kay) Clymer, Margaret Rose Clymer, Mary Jane (Claude) Mathers and Sara (Robert) Duffy.
In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sarah Decker; son-in-law, Michael Kimmell; daughter-in-law, Sandra Decker; and brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sharon Clymer.
Friends and family may visit from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay, (419-422-1500). Funeral service for Nellie will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, with interment to follow at Benton Ridge Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Nellie's name may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

Nellie was such a beautiful soul, thank you for always smiling and keeping my brother company. I am glad he got to sing for you. I surely will miss seeing you when I visit Rest in God's loving arms

Nellie was a wonderful neighbor & very special friend. Her birthday was the same as my daughter Jean Ann's. Every year Nellie baked her a red devils food choc birthday cake. Both can share their day in heaven now.

Lots of memories of Nellie growing up. She was my second mom. Always there to feed me, no matter if I was hungry or not. Her pumpkin bread was the best around. And it was always good to see her at church when I would come home.
The memories take me back few years (more like 45+ years) But a loving and caring mother to all and especially to me.
Now she gets to sit with my parents and shoot the bull. I hope she doesn´t tell on me. That might not be so good.
My condolences to the Decker family. You had a great Wife/Mother that will be sorely missed.
