Naomi Ruth Snavely

Naomi Ruth Snavely, formerly of McComb, peacefully entered her Home in Glory Monday, December 22, 2025. She was born to Orla and Nellie Newell, June 22, 1935, and married Rev. Richard L. Snavely (deceased) October 24, 1954. Mrs. Snavely exemplified a lady with a "meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price" (1 Peter 3:4b).

As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, pastor's wife, church member, and faithful servant of her Lord, Mrs. Snavely will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Stephen (Debbie) Snavely and Rebecca (Bill) Gowder, both of Maryville, Tennessee; her five grandchildren, Andrew (Becky) Snavely of Highland Falls, New York, Alyssa (Mike) Walker of Allen Park, Michigan, Katie (Jim) Hollingsworth of Knoxville, Tennssee, Kara (Adam) Townsend of Greenback, Tennessee, and Adam (Mandy) Snavely of Burlington, Kentucky; and her 14 great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews, and her precious church families in Ohio, Florida, and Tennessee.

After graduating from McComb High School, Naomi studied at Bob Jones University before entering full-time ministry beside her husband. Pastor Snavely and Naomi served the Lord at Calvary Baptist Church in Findlay, Palms Baptist Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and Fellowship Baptist Church in Deltona, Florida. Her personal ministry to her family and friends has made a lifelong impact on countless lives.

Visitation and funeral services will be Saturday, December 27, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, Ohio. Visitation will be from noon – 2 p.m. with funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at McComb Union Cemetery, McComb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Oletha Bassett, Guyneth Crates, and Grace Leader; and her beloved husband.
