Nancy Chambers Obituary

Nancy Lou (Hartman) Chambers

Nancy Lou Chambers went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday evening, February 7, 2025. She passed away peacefully and quietly in her sleep after experiencing a heart episode earlier that morning.

Nancy was born in Findlay to Joy and Ralph Hartman. She attended all of her school years in Findlay, graduating from Findlay High School. Nancy met her husband, Conard Chambers, in the sixth grade at Washington Elementary School. They dated during high school and married a year after graduating. Nancy worked at Highway Concrete Pipe, Hancock County Courthouse and her brother-in-law DuWayne Chambers' office in Findlay. She also worked at many churches that her husband pastored, serving as the church secretary in both Ohio and Florida. Nancy retired at the age of 67 from a child development center in Florida. The company held a huge retirement party for her.

In June of 2016 Nancy and Conard flew to Alaska to visit their children and grandchildren. It was then that they made the decision to move from Florida to Alaska to be closer to family. They moved the next summer to a little home around the corner from their daughter and son-in-law. During the next eight years both Nancy and Conard spent every holiday and birthday creating memories with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Nancy's favorite family activities were baking Christmas cookies, coloring Easter eggs, having Mother's Day brunch, and having a huge Italian dinner for her birthday. Nancy was a very kind and loving grandmother. Her kindness and gentleness are her legacy.

In heaven with Nancy are her parents, Ralph and Joy Hartman; in-laws, Park and Doris Chambers; sister, Shirley Vlasic; husband, Conard; and daughter, Natalie Kay. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and John Moosey; grandchildren, Rebecca and Kyle Johnson, Tess and Jake Moosey; and seven great-grandchildren, Obie, Isla, Emmitt, Tobias, Scarlett, Sebastian, and Marigold.

A celebration of Nancy's life will be in Alaska in the spring.
