Michael Schaaf Obituary
Michael Richard Schaaf, 53, died Friday, April 25, 2025, after a short fight with cancer.
He was born January 4, 1972, in Jerseyville, Illinois, to Russell and Margaret (Seaburn) Schaaf. Being the youngest of six made him extremely adventurous. He enjoyed competition and motor activities, especially motorcycles.
He is survived by his children, David, Cole, and Grace, whom he talked about daily. He is also survived by his sister and brothers, Gail (Roger) Ambrose, David (Carol) Schaaf, Lisa (Dan) Sackmann, and Russ (Lisa) Schaaf.
He was preceded in death by both parents: his sister, Sonya; niece, Jennifer; and several cousins.
His family is hosting a celebration of life at The Way Community Church in Deshler at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025.

I appreciate the talks and the friend that you were to me. I know that you're with Lord now, so I'll see you again until then. He loved his kids, all 3 of you. He spoke about you all, often. He sure missed you. I would send him pictures when I could. Sorry for your loss
