Michael Patton Obituary
Michael Lynn Patton, 65, of Lexington, Kentucky, and formally of New Stark, passed away at 9:19 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born Dec. 29, 1956, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Joe and Earnesteen (Hicks) Patton. Michael spent the majority of his life in Lexington, Kentucky, with his wife, Margie Tackett, who preceded him in death.
Michael graduated from Cory-Rawson High School in 1975 and from Morehead State University in 1980. After graduation, Michael had various jobs and volunteering throughout his lifetime. He worked in customer service at Chase Bank and Walmart. Michael was a member of University of Kentucky 101 club, and through this, he volunteered at multiple collegiate sporting events. He loved being apart of the basketball and football experiences at University of Kentucky. Michael was a member of Lions Club in Lexington, where he would volunteer at multiple events.
He is survived by his siblings, Judy (Patton) Wells of Findlay and Bruce (Stacy) Patton of Lima; and many nieces and nephews.
Michael's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Burial will be at Preston Cemetery, Alger. The service will be live-streamed on the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook page.
Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mike and I were Fraternity Brothers and also shared a love for UK sports. Mike and I had many fun times at the fraternity house and I miss him very much. I have nothing but wonderful memories of him.

Mike and I became friends right off the bite as soon as we met at morehead state university way back in 1978. We made a point to stay together since working the committee of 101 together for the university of Kentucky. His wife Margie always called me mikes second wife. He had such a wonderful sense of humor, and never knew a stranger. He always made a point to let me and my wife Sandy know how much he loved us. So many fantastic memories that I could go on and on with. I’ll miss my buddy and even our phone calls . But he is now in heaven with Margie . No mor pain no more grief.

Michael Patton will be missed by many of UK The Committee of 101 Members that got to know him. He was a true gentleman. He has been missed in recent years by the group, due to his health. He brought life, joy and a caring servant personality to so many. I enjoyed seeing, talking and working UK games with a true, kind, caring servant minded individual. He is missed. We were blessed to have him in our lives.
