Michael Minter

Michael Robert Minter, 74, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. Michael was born in Springfield July 18, 1950, to the late Robert and Dorothy (Mason) Minter.

On February 9, 1974, Michael married Phyllis Lewandowski. He was a 1968 graduate of Springfield South High School and a 1972 graduate of Miami University, where he was a member of TKE. Michael had a long career in retail management, working at Kmart, Lowe's, and Staples. He will be remembered for his love of cooking, photography, drawing cartoons, and constructing legos, model trains, and cars. He was an avid fan of Ghostbusters, including his prized possession -a picture signed by all four cast members. Michael's favorite movies were Indiana Jones, Blues Brothers, and Animal House. Some of his most enjoyed music included Bob Seger, Jimmy Buffett, CSNY, and we can't forget, S.O.L. Finally, his friends and family will remember Michael's beautiful hair and unrivaled sense of humor, as well as his level of sarcasm.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; son, Adam Michael Minter of Livonia, Michigan; daughter, Sarah Marie Minter (Eric Stack) of Holly, Michigan; and granddaughter, Delila Elizabeth Stack (THE favorite grandchild).

The family would like to thank and acknowledge Blanchard Valley Hospital Pulmonary Rehab Center with a special shout-out to the Kindergarten class.

A memorial gathering will occur at a later date.
