Michael Kurtz Obituary
Michael D. Kurtz, 71, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Findlay, June 11, 1954, to the late Donald W. and Patricia (Beckwith) Kurtz. Mike married Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Tiell, December 31, 1981, and she survives, along with three daughters, Amanda (Evan) Temchin of Findlay, Bridget Kurtz of Rawson and Laura Kurtz of Findlay. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Lorelai, Kathryn and Lukas; brothers, Donald and Ernie Kurtz, both of Findlay; sisters, Aletha Grubb of Mt. Blanchard, and Trisha Biernacki of Fostoria; and sister-in-law, Cassie Kurtz.
Mike was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph and Daniel Kurtz; sister-in-law, Penny Kurtz; and brother-in-law, Bob Grubb.
Mike retired from Honeywell in Fostoria in 2003. He loved sports and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, Cleveland Browns, and Guardians fan. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Private family burial will take place at a later time.

Mike was our extraordinary neighbor for 32 years. Being a naturally good man, husband, father, grandpa and neighbor touched each person. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could play pranks with the best. We will miss him but memories will bring laughter and tears. We thank God for knowing him and the example of love and family he exhibited. He loved his wife, his girls, his grands completely and welcomed his son-in-law wholeheartedly. Our thoughts are with you. His memories will bring you all joy and even laughter.
