Marlene Alexander Obituary

Marlene P. Alexander

Marlene Alexander, 83, of Findlay, passed away at her residence Friday, February 6, 2026, surrounded by those she loved. She was born September 24, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late William and Cathy (Darke) Bates.

Marlene is survived by her sons, William James and Anthony (Misty) James; grandchildren, Chashauna James, D-on Stinson, Anthony James, Kailee James, Noah James, and Isaac James; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; stepson, Teddy James; and stepdaughter, Michelle James.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Phaedra James; grandsons, Dominic James and Trey James; and her life partner, Steven Hill.

Marlene was a hardworking woman who loved her family and took great joy in spending time with her grandkids. She was employed at Kodak for 30 years before going back to school at Stautzenberger College to earn an associate's degree in applied science. Marlene was the type of person who wanted a purpose in what she did, and she found it at Blanchard Valley Hospital's Diagnostic Center, where she retired. Marlene also found purpose in giving generously to charities. When she saw a need, she did her best to fulfill it.

Marlene will be sorely missed by her loving family.

Visitation for Marlene will be from 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. A funeral will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made in Marlene's name to Bridge Home Health & Hospice.
