Marjorie Tracewell Obituary
Marjorie (Margie) Marie (Way) Tracewell, 92, of Findlay, entered eternal life on Tuesday June 14, 2022. She passed peacefully with family by her side. She was born on November 24, 1929, to the late Forrest & Martha (Metz) Way.
Marjorie's spirit is carried on by her four daughters, Sandra (Bill) Seibert of Halfmoon, NY, Sharon (Jim) Harvey of Sevierville, TN, Lois (Doug) McCracken of Bloomdale, and Lori Dupuis of Findlay. Additional family members carrying on her legacy are her sister JoAnn (Wade) Benson of Findlay, Brother-in-law, Jim Wolf of Findlay, eight grandchildren, Jayson (Johanna) Dupuis, Brian (Jessica) Dupuis, Craig (Loren) McCracken, Matt (Ashley) McCracken, Todd (Angela) McCracken, John Bergen, Marie Rose, Scott Rose, and twelve great-grandchildren. Marjorie is preceded in death by her brother Richard Way, and two sisters, June Umphress and Linda Wolf. Marjorie had friends from all walks of life. All those a part of her life were blessed to learn many valuable lessons, capture a glowing smile through their conversations, and feel her kindness and love.
Marjorie retired from RCA after 47 years to pursue her passion for gardening, sewing, and to spend extended time with family members and friends. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's extracurricular activities, especially their sporting events. Marjorie loved decorating the house for holidays and hosting holiday meals for family get together. She made sure everyone had their favorite meal plus a red velvet cake (her specialty) for their birthday.
Marjorie was a 50+ member of the Moose Lodge 698, she was the 1947 May Day Queen at the Liberty Township High School (now known as Liberty Benton), and an avid basketball fan participating in Yahoo fantasy basketball until she was 88 years old.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hancock County Humane Society in Marjorie's name.
Arrangements are being handled by Coldren-Crates Funeral Home.
