Marilyn "Jean" Vorva (nee Pfeil) age 78 of Shorewood, IL passed away peacefully on September 2, 2022 at Lightways Hospice Home. Jean was born September 15, 1943 to George and Rosella Pfeil.
Jean is survived by her daughter Karen (Will) Teeter, grandchildren Mathew and Megan Teeter, sister Judy Kinmonth, nephew Dan Kinmonth and brother-in-law Ken Zadel. Also survived by longtime friend and companion Bob Viner, former husband John Vorva, and numerous cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Joan Zadel and niece Kathy Kinmonth-Shafer.
Jean graduated from St. John's School in 1957 and the former Providence High School in Joliet in 1961.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a member of Coyote Moon County Dancers. Jean will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
We will honor and celebrate Jean on Monday, September 26th, at St. Jude's Church, 2202 McDonough St. in Joliet. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM prior to the Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at the church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jean's name to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.

Karen and Judy...I'm SO sad to read this! I had no idea Jean was sick or had passed. I had so many fun laughs with her...having worked with her at SFA, St. Joseph College of Nursing, and Will County State's Atty. Office! She loved life and in return, others loved her. My thoughts are prayers with her entire family!

Your mother and I became very close friends in 2015. She was not only a very close friend but also a very wonderful person to have as a friend and to be with. She will always have a very special place in my heart.
