Marilyn Noel Obituary
Marilyn (Pepple) Noel went home Thursday, April 17, 2025. Marilyn was born to Clyde E. and Margaret (Vance) Pepple on February 5, 1930. She married James (Jim) Noel on August 7, 1951 at Arcadia United Methodist Church. Jim died December 4, 1985.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Dave (Kay) Noel, Rick (Darlene Mattox) Noel, Lissa (Russ) Stahl, and Shelly (Craig) Friedman; grandchildren, Jeff (Erica) Noel, Cara (Kim) Burke, Matt (April) Noel, Andy (April) Noel, Simon (Alyssa) Stahl, Taylor and Ryan Friedman; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Kolby, Grace, Kelsey, Hayden, Colton, and Logan. Marilyn is preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Wykoff.
Marilyn was a lifelong, active member of Arcadia United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School, served as choir director, and in many other ways. She was also an active member of Arcadia United Methodist Women, where she served as president for many years. In addition, Marilyn was a member of Findlay District UMC Mission Team and served as an officer.
Following her retirement, Marilyn became a Blanchard Valley Hospital Auxillary member, where she worked in many areas and made many friends. She served on the Executive Board for many years and was president of the auxiliary in 1998 and 1999.
Marilyn had many favorite things OSU Buckeyes, Arcadia athletic and music events- particularly girls' basketball. She loved reading, socializing with friends, and theater.
In her retirement, she helped organize the "Arcadia Reads" program and the church library. She was also a facilitator for many Beth Moore studies.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Arcadia United Methodist Church, where visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial to follow at Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Birchaven.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made to Bridge Hospice, Findlay; Hancock County Public Library; Arcadia United Methodist Church "Feed My Kids"; or donor's choice.

Sorry for your loss. Marilyn was such a great person, teacher and cousin's wife. I wish I could be there, but we are in South Carolina. Love to all. Denny and Barb (Noel) Greer.

One of the best teachers I ever had! She set high standards and encouraged students to do their best. Not only did she show interest in students´ lives inside the classroom, but outside, as well. The few times I ran into her after I finished high school, she always greeted me with a smile and showed genuine interest in the various paths my life had taken me. Thankful to have crossed paths with this remarkable lady!
