Marilyn Greeno Obituary

Marilyn Jean Greeno

Marilyn J. Greeno, 92, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. She was born March 17, 1932, in Columbus Grove, to Harry Lewis and Ruth Marie (Irwin) Herman.

Marilyn grew up on a farm outside of Columbus Grove. She attended Columbus Grove High School and graduated in 1950. After her graduation, she began working at Colonial Savings Bank in Lima. She worked at Colonial Savings until her marriage to Jack L. Greeno of Findlay on November 30, 1956, and then moved to Findlay. She was a homemaker and always took excellent care of her home. Her marriage was blessed with two children, Randy L. (Becky) of Findlay, Melody A. Kelley and Jim Kelley of South Carolina. Her grandchildren truly enjoyed her company. Neil (Emily), Morgan, Ross, Lee, Lindsay, and Eric all enjoyed spending time with her. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren and another arriving in a few months. Her in-laws, nieces and nephews all enjoyed her company as well.

Marilyn enjoyed several different activities. She liked playing cards, bingo, and word search books. Marilyn was a faithful attendee of Upper Room Church of God for over 40 years. She was a breast cancer survivor and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed working at the polls on election day for many years. Marilyn had been a resident at The Heritage for over three years and enjoyed the friendships she made there and the staff she entertained with her antics.

Marilyn was predeceased by her parents; husband, Jack Greeno; sister, Barbara Begg of Columbus Grove; and granddaughter, Lauren Kelley.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025, at Coldren Crates Funeral Home in Findlay, with visitation for two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Memorials in her memory can be made to Cancer Patient Services of Hancock County or Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo.
