Maridell Gault
Maridell Gault, 84, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family.
Maridell was born Aug. 8, 1939, in Findlay, to Virgil and Guynath (Gilliand) Hite. Maridell met the love of her life, William "Bill" Gault, on a blind date May 9, 1959, at a Youth for Christ event and they were married Dec. 23, 1959. He survives in Findlay after 64 wonderful years of marriage.
Maridell is also survived by her children, James (Beth) Gault, Deborah Gault, Elisabeth Gault, and David (Teresa) Gault; grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Ming, Nina, Christopher, and Hunter; and great-grandchildren, Joan, Willie, Carmen, and Mason.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jimmie Hite.
Maridell was a servant of the Lord. She was a faithful member of Upper Room Church of God and prior to that, was a longtime member of East Foulke Avenue Church of God and StoneBridge Church and was a vital part of the beginning of CHOPIN Hall, helping those in a time of need. Maridell and Bill were members of the Pioneer Auto Club for 55 years and Crosley Automotive Club for 45 years. They enjoyed camping, where they made it to 49 of the states traveling and especially anywhere she could place her feet in water, whether it was in the ocean or a stream and stopping and smelling the flowers. She enjoyed having people over to her home for tea parties and was a member of the Fort Findlay Doll and Bear Fanciers for 40 years. More than anything, Maridell was a loving, caring, compassionate, and devoted individual who loved her family and friends dearly.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, at Hanneman Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave.,
Findlay, Ohio, 45840. Maridell's celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at Upper Room Church of God, 520 W. Bigelow Ave.,
Findlay, Ohio, 45840, with Bishop Terry McBeath and Pastor Ken McBeath officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Mt. Blanchard.
