Marcia O'Keefe Obituary
Marcia Lee (Hartman) O'Keefe, 77, passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at University of Toledo Medical Center.
Marcia was born July 22, 1946, in Findlay, to Gerald and Thelma Belle (Bishop) Hartman. She married her love, John Joseph O'Keefe, on May 6, 1978, and he preceded her in death July 2, 2019.
Marcia worked at Continental Can as a forklift driver, as well as at Rhodes State College in the Admissions and Learning Center. While she worked there, she went to school and graduated with her Bachelor's in Social Work. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church since 1978, where she loved to sing in the choir and participate in their Bell Choir. She was a member of Eagles Aerie #370. She enjoyed playing the piano, traveling, and seeing the world. Marcia was loving, caring, and was there for anyone in need. She loved being with her family and going to her grandchildren's sporting events and cheering them on. Marcia was always an event organizer. She organized family reunions, class reunions, and reunions for work family from Continental Can.
She is survived by two daughters, Tonya (Matthew) Cottrell of Lima and Tamara (Ryan) Louth of Spencerville; grandchildren, Brandon Crawford, Matthew (Kate) Crawford, Jeremiah Cottrell, Donovan (Ashlyn) Maier, Jayden (Trevor) Hooker, Jodie Schrolucke, Harper Louth, and Hayes Louth; and great-grandchild, Cambrie Maier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Darwin (Janet), Neil, and Denny Hartman; and sister, Jeannine (Harry) Schwarck.
Visitation with family and friends will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. Marcia's funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2023. Pastor Dan Gutman will officiate. Entombment will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

Marcia was a very kind, caring, considerate, outstanding wonderful person. When I was a student at Rhodes State College, she helped me get assistance in the learning center. Whenever you would go see her to contact her about something she already knew what you wanted before you got there anyone Who Attended Rhodes State College knew if you needed help you can count on Marcia she will be greatly missed.

Marcia was such a special lady and wonderful friend. We lost someone who was kind, considerate, loyal, had a great sense of humor and was just plain fun to be with! Stephanie, Melissa and I send our love to Tammy and Tonya and families at this very sad time. We know Marcia is in a better place, with John and all those loved ones who have gone on before her. To all of the family condolences to you. Was blessed to know Marcia who married John. His sister Carol was one of my longtime best friends. Knew all of the family. Marcia always made you feel special. So sorry for your loss.
