Lois Wohlgamuth Obituary

Lois J. Wohlgamuth

Lois J. Wohlgamuth, 88, of Findlay, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Born July 3, 1936, in Hardin County, she was the daughter of Loren C. and Ruah B. McMaster and twin to Louis. Lois married Dean Wohlgamuth June 13, 1959, and he preceded her in death June 30, 2015.

Lois worked at Marathon Oil Company for five years. After her children grew older, she spent 38 years working in dental offices with Dr. Sabroske and Dr. Fulton. Lois fondly recalls the thoughtful gesture of the appreciation day in her honor by Dr. Fulton and the staff in 2002. She felt blessed and appreciated the kind words spoken to her and about her. In her journey of life, it is not where you go but who you meet along the way that makes a difference. She met many great people at her job who she loved. Lois was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, United Methodist ladies circle group, and The Founders Class. She was a volunteer at Blanchard Valley Hospital, a caregiver for a neighbor and her husband for four years. She enjoyed working and helping with people.

Above all, she loved her children, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren immensely.

Lois is survived by her children, Tim (Trisha Bott) Wohlgamuth of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Nancy Coldren of Findlay, and Tom Wohlgamuth of Findlay; grandchildren, Brittany (Eric) Meibers of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Zach (Leslie) Wohlgamuth of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Paige Wohlgamuth of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and three great-grandchildren, Allison Meibers of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Aiden Meibers of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and Myla Wohlgamuth of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Louis McMaster; brother, Robert McMaster; and sisters, Mary Temple, Marge Groves, Elsie Marvin, and Shirley Ramage.

Friends and family may visit from 11-1 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2025, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Funeral service for Lois will begin at 1 p.m. following visitation, with Pastor Dan Metzger officiating. Lois will be laid to rest in Knollcrest Cemetery.

I was sorry to hear about Lois's passing. She was always so kind and friendly, she welcomed us to the neighborhood. I always looked forward to a chat when Bella and I was out for our walks.
Sending prayers to the family.
