Laura Gladstone Obituary

Laura Rae Gladstone

Laura Rae (Adams) Gladstone, affectionately known to many as Momma G, completed her earthly journey Monday, April 22, 2024, in Findlay, having reached the age of 84 years. Born January 17, 1940, in Columbus, she was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and friend whose presence warmed the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

Laura's professional life was marked by a successful career as a respected Director of Merchandising for CWC, Great Scot, Sack-n-Save, and Mr. C's grocery stores in Ohio and Florida. Her diligence and foresight were instrumental in the growth and success of these establishments.

A proud alumna of Findlay High School, Laura furthered her education at the University of Toledo, embodying the values of lifelong learning and academic pursuit. Her thirst for knowledge and self-improvement was an inspiration to many.

Laura's personal passions were diverse and enriched her life abundantly. An avid reader, she was equally at home with her nose in a book as she was crafting verses of poetry. Her hands were rarely still, engaged in the creation of puzzles, the strokes of a paintbrush, or the enthusiastic cheer for Michigan Football. These hobbies were not mere pastimes but reflections of a woman who embraced life with zest and creativity.

The family she leaves behind to cherish her memory includes her daughters, Susan, Kris, Karan, and Melissa; her sons, Daniel and Benjamin; a brother, Jack; a sister Kay; her treasured 13 grandchildren; and her adored nine great-grandchildren. Her departure was preceded by the loss of her son Michael; her mother Lucille; and her father Ray.

Visitation for Laura will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, until the time of her funeral at 11:15 a.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay, Ohio, 45840, with Pastor Shane Helms officiating. Burial will occur at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.

Those wishing to honor Laura's memory are kindly invited to make contributions to Humane Society of Hancock County. Online condolences may be shared with her family at coldrencrates.com.

Laura's departure is deeply felt by a community she impacted profoundly through her unwavering kindness, sparkling wit, and boundless generosity. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and the heartfelt belief in the goodness of others. She will be profoundly missed.

I continue to miss Laura´ and my conversations. Laura was an amazing intelligent woman. We shared so many laughs together over the phone from California. I loved her poetry, I read some it that she sent during her better days. May Laura´s family did peace during the holidays, and days ahead. Bless you all. Just from California
