Larry Lee Thom

Larry Lee Thom, 76, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, at his residence.

He was born July 19, 1946, in Findlay, the son of the late William and E. Irene (Risner) Thom. He married Caroline Whitmer on May 3, 1975, and she survives in Findlay.

Larry's survivors include his wife; sons, Shannon (Sherry) Thom of Middletown, Indiana, Steven Jolliff of Findlay, James (Jennifer) Jolliff of Findlay, and Ryan (Jacqueline) Thom of Tiffin; daughter, Tanya Thom of Findlay; brother, William (Christine) Thom of Findlay; grandchildren, Christopher Hostettler, Nicole Brown, Zachariah Hostettler, Amanda Dunson, Markie Hernandez, Zachary Thom, Tanner Thom, Justin Jolliff, Max Jolliff, Will Jolliff, Grant Jolliff, Sam Jolliff, Brianna Leon-Guerrero, Autymn Thom, Kylee Thom, Ava Thom, and Ema Thom; and great-grandchildren, Makyiah Hostettler, Amora Hostettler, Bryton Brown, Draidyn Hostettler, Nalena Brown, Jamison Brown, Audrina Hostettler, Octavya Brown, Olivia Hernandez, Noah Hernandez, Zoe Thom, Johnathon Thom, and Archer Jolliff.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Roger Thom.

Larry was a former Captain of Findlay Fire Department, serving for 25 years before retiring in Jan., 1999. He also worked for Hanco, was a race fan, and raced go carts. He enjoyed his Harley-Davidson and Viper, and was in Detroit Viper Club. He also enjoyed seeing the United States in his motor home, traveling throughout the country. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, at COLDREN CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Larry's funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Jaython Welton officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.
