Kenneth Otte Obituary
Kenneth William Otte, 95, of Findlay, passed away Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, at Primrose Retirement Community.
Kenneth was born July 17, 1928, in Ridgeville Township, Henry County, to Paul William and Martha D. (Wesche) Otte. He married Kathryn Ann "Katy" Sanford on May 26, 1956, in Defiance, and she preceded him in death May 25, 2019.
Kenneth is survived by a daughter, Susan Rufty (David) of Columbus; son, David Otte of Findlay; sister, Margaret Thieroff; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Otte; and sister, Helen Roedel.
Kenneth was a 1946 graduate of Ridgeville Local Schools. He attended International Business College and served in U.S. Army from December 1950 to December 1952. He worked for Marathon Oil Company for 28 years from 1958-1986.
Kenneth was a member of First Lutheran Church in Findlay. He served as financial secretary for 30 years and had various other positions of service in the church.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2024, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio, 45840. Kenneth's funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at First Lutheran Church, 109 East Lincoln Street, Findlay, Ohio, 45840, at 11:00am, with the Rev. Tucker O'Leary officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance, with military honors by Defiance V.F.W. Post 3360.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kenneth's name are suggested to First Lutheran Church or Bridge Hospice.
