Kenneth Lee Bowker

Kenneth Lee Bowker, 78, of Van Buren, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. Born November 27, 1946, in Marion, the son of the late Kenneth H. Bowker and Evolena (Landrum) Bowker Erwin and stepson of Chester Erwin. He graduated in 1965 from Marion Harding before enlisting in the military.

Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1966-1969, stationed at Takhli Air Force Base in Thailand, where he was a mechanic working on F-105 fighter jets. After his military service, Ken worked for 54 years at Whirlpool.

He married Mary (MacMurray) in 1971, and together they raised three children. He was a member of Morris Chapter No. 265 Eastern Stars, North Baltimore and Masonic Chapter, North Baltimore No. 561. He attended Trinity Baptist Church in Findlay, and he was an avid Ohio State fan. Go Bucks!!

Ken is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary (MacMurray) Bowker; his children, Kassie (Darrin) Price, Katie (Chris) Vaught, and Brian (Caitlin) Bowker; four grandchildren, Kohen, Carter, Kendall and Nik; and his siblings, Dave (Julie) Erwin, Roger (Tammy) Erwin and Connie Hastings; along with many nieces and nephews.

Ken was a great supporter of his grandkids, attending as many of their sports and activities as possible. He will be lovingly remembered by all for his kind nature and sense of humor.

Services will be private at Bechtel Cemetery at a later time.
