Kenneth Allshouse Obituary

Kenneth R. Allshouse

Kenneth R. Allshouse, 73, of Findlay, passed away at Bridge Hospice Care Center Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024. He was born Feb. 16, 1951, in Paulding the son of the late Warren and Marie (Richardson) Allshouse. On October 26, 1974, he married the love of his life, Jody (Rusk) Allshouse, in Zanesville, and she survives in Findlay.

Survivors include his three children and nine grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda) Allshouse, Olivia, Scarlet and Violet, of Van Buren, Jennifer (Cory) Anderson, Seth, Jackson, and Avery, Cornelius, North Carolina, and Ivy (Andrew) Thornton, Eva, Price, and Beckett, of Whitehouse. Also surviving is his sister, Janice (Charles) Utterback, Massillon.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Donald Allshouse.

Kenneth was a 1969 Paulding High School graduate. He also attended The Ohio State University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in business. Ken moved to Findlay in 1975 to proudly work in the family business RKD Farm Service and continued working at that business for 44 years as it transitioned to various ownership. He retired from Legacy Farmers' Cooperative, Arcadia Branch, in 2019.

Ken was an avid waterfowl hunter, keeping meticulous records of his harvest of 314 birds since 1982. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was never happier than when he was at one of their sporting events, taking family vacations, or just spending time with them.

Visitation will be from 10-2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.

Jody, I am so sorry to hear of Ken´s passing. I´m out of town for Christmas with my kids or I would not have missed the visitation. Give yourself, Matt, Ivy, and Jen a great big hug.

House was loved by everyone that knew him. He became a great friend to me during my years at Ohio State. Jody you were the perfect match for Kenny. I'll always remember the fun times we shared. A great man that will be truly missed.

House was one of the funniest humans I ever met. We were roommates at OSU and drove to the 1970 Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. In addition, we had a few laughs throughout. Funny man, sorry to hear this. I'm sure he was preceeded by his wingers Bill Townsend and Stanley Bayshore of the Paulding Mob.
