Kay L. Ziessler

Kay L. Ziessler, 80, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

Kay was born Aug. 19, 1942, in Bluffton, to the late Denver and Olive (Schumacher) Zimmerly. He married Owen Ziessler on May 11, 1963, and he survives.

Kay graduated from Bluffton High School. She was a secretary at Marathon Oil Company, Findlay, Triplett Corporation, Bluffton, and Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Kay was an active member of Bluffton Presbyterian Church. She spent many years volunteering at Et Cetera Shop in Bluffton and enjoyed walking, reading, and biking. Kay loved spending time with and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Kay's survivors include her husband, Owen Ziessler of Bluffton; two daughters, Tiffany (Scott) Gleason of Bluffton and Andrea (Matt) Kinsinger of Findlay; six grandchildren, Whitney (Nick) Hines, Levi (Taylor) Gleason, Blythe (Brennan) Lieb, Paige (Andrew) Badertscher, Grant (Sarah Thompson) Kinsinger, and Brynn Kinsinger; eight great-grandchildren and two on the way; brother-in-law, Bob Badertscher of Bluffton; and sister-in-law, Barb Zimmerly of Findlay.

Kay was preceded in death by three brothers, Denver Zimmerly Jr., Larry Zimmerly, and Lynn Zimmerly; and sister, Ann E. Badertscher.

A celebration of life will take place by the family at a later date.
