Kay F. Rochotte

Kay F. Rochotte, 86, of Fostoria, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Birchaven Village in Findlay.

She was born July 31, 1939, in Niles, Michigan, to the late Marion and Maxine (Young) Mitchell.

She married John Rochotte, and to that union they had five children, Sheryl (Gary) Holman, Fostoria, Ohio, John (Mary Lou) Rochotte, McConnelsville, Ohio, Bret (Wendy) Rochotte, New Bremen, Ohio, Neil (Sally) Rochotte, Blissfield, Michigan, and Matthew Rochotte, Columbia, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Cleta Mitchell, Taylor Mill, Kentucky.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Holman and a son-in-law, David Frankart.

Kay graduated from Buchanan High School in Buchanan, Michigan, where she played tuba in the high school band. She retired from Lifetouch in Fostoria after 28 years and was a member of Fostoria Rail Preservation Society and Bright Road Church of Christ in Findlay. Kay had an unwavering faith in God and was a grateful and thankful person. She had many beloved pets over the years and managed over 5,000 laying hens. Kay will be remembered as an incredibly loving mother, grandmother and excellent cookie baker, especially her molasses cookies.

Visitation is 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830, where funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. with Bren White, Minister of Chesapeake Church of Christ of Grasonville, Maryland, presiding. Burial will be at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia, at a later date.

Memorial contribu-tions are suggested to Bright Road Church of Christ or Seneca County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
