Karldean Williamson Obituary
Karldean Williamson, 90, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Bowling Green Hospice Care Center.
He was born Nov. 16, 1933, in Benton Ridge, to Harold and Erma Lucille (Hurlds) Williamson. He married Kathleen Greer on Sept. 7, 1956.
Karldean is survived by his wife, Kathleen Williamson; two sons, Keith (Annette) Williamson of Findlay and Kraig Williamson of California; brother, Darrow (Faye) Williamson of Findlay; and grandchildren, Emily Barnes and Madelynn (Jeremy) Whitman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, H. Gaynel and Eber Williamson; sisters, Nancy Saums and Genieve Gfroerer; and grandsons, Nathan Williamson and Shane Williamson.
He received his high school diploma from Liberty Township High school in 1951 and was employed at Centrex and retired as the personal director at Fostoria Industries. Karldean also served his country in U.S. Army, enjoyed playing cards, watching Liberty-Benton sports, and gardening. He also enjoyed a game of golf, making root beer floats for his grandkids, collecting his beloved Winchester firearms, going to casinos, mushroom hunting, and always had a joke to tell.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2024, until the time of Karldean's funeral at 11 a.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. The Rev. Cathy Davis will officiate. Hancock County Memorial Veterans Squad will accord military honors at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Riverview Cemetery, near Mt. Blanchard.
Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty-Benton Athletic Department.
