Julia Moyer
Julia A. Moyer, 83, of Findlay, passed away Thursday evening, Sept. 1, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
Julia was born July 3, 1939, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Ethel (Rasey) Swalllow. She married Howard Moyer and he preceded her in death. She later married Paul Smith and he also preceded her in death.
Julia is survived by her sons, Keith D. Moyer of Findlay and Kevin P. Moyer (Alison) of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Ashley Hemminger (Tony) of Albany, Ohio, Kyle Moyer (Renee) of Gaston, Oregon, and Joshua Moyer (Heather) of St. Louis, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Adison, Ashton, and Seneca Hemminger, and Corinne, Calvin, Chloe, and Mila Moyer.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Kirk A. Moyer; and sister, Barbara Chiles (Emil).
Julia was a 1957 graduate of Lima Senior High School, faithful member of Living Hope Church, Findlay, and an active member of Owls Bible Study Group and "Lunch Bunch." She worked for a number of years in Findlay at Marathon Oil Company in Food Service and Security departments. She then worked at Kohls Distribution Center in Findlay. Prior to that, Julia was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress.
Some of her fondest memories as a child were the visits to the family farms in Marion, Ohio, to the grandparents and the numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and later on to the many family gatherings and picnics. She loved to cook and bake where she was especially known for her homemade chicken and noodles and dumplings and her delicious pies. Julia was a strong-willed and loving individual and was known as a great friend to many. She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends and will be deeply missed by those she knew.
A celebration of life ceremony will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at Living Hope Church, 2515 Heatherwoods, Findlay, Ohio, 45840. Internment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay. Julia has graciously donated her body to University of Toledo Medical Center for Anatomical Research.

The family would like to give their gratitude to the staffs at Fresenius Kidney Care Creighton Dialysis Center, Blanchard Valley Hospital ER and 5th Floor, Birchaven Village, and Briar Hill Heath Campus for the compassionate care they showed Julia.
