Juleen Walters Obituary
Juleen Elizabeth Walters, 70, of Arlington, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.
She was born Jan. 20, 1953, in Leesville, Louisiana, to Jack and Joan (Crawfis) Oglesbee. Her father preceded her in death. She first married Gary Croy of Ottawa and he also preceded her in death. In 1982, she married Dave Walters and he survives.
She is also survived by four children, Christine (Jason) Vermillion of Arlington, Amy (Andy) Schafer of Columbus Grove, Zac (Jen) Walter of Findlay, and Melissa (Marty) Frater of Arlington; grandchildren, Jaret, Jake, Jase, Addison, AJ, Aleah, Damon, Austin, Aiden, Andrew, and Brandon; siblings, Jeff (Pam) Oglesbee, Jackie (Roger) Brinkman, and Jim (Linda) Oglesbee, all of Columbus Grove; and aunt, Marilyn (John) Shiffer-Kline of Toledo.
Juleen was a 1971 graduate of Columbus Grove High School. She received her Assoicate's Degree in Nursing from Lima Technical School in 1973 and her Nurse Practitioner in Women's Health from NCC in 1983. Throughout her career, she worked in OB-GYN, at BVH, and in the offices of Dr. Tong, Ziegler, Weingates, and Hassink, and at Cascades Women's Health with Dr. Tong, Dr. Schutz, and Dr. Perkins. She was a childbirth education, breast feeding instructor, and started a bereavement support group for women experiencing pregnancy loss and infant death.
Juleen met and married her husband, Dave, was baptized and dedicated her life and family to God, and became an active member of St. John's Bible Church in Pandora where she taught Pioneer Club, Sunday School, Church nursery, and media and participated in medical missions to Honduras and Haiti.
Juleen's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2023, at St. John's Bible Church, 15988 Rd. 4, Pandora, Ohio, 45877. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023, and 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials can be made to St. John Bible Church Missions or Mission Possible.
