Joseph McIntyre

Joseph McIntyre, 60, of Lima, died Friday, July 25, 2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born June 14, 1965, in Fostoria, to the late John H., Sr. and Ressie (Thacker) McIntyre.

If Heaven has a dance floor, Joseph McIntyre is already out there-moves sharp, music blasting. Joseph brought joy, rhythm, and a contagious laugh to everyone lucky enough to know him. He could name the song, sing the harmony, and somehow convince you that the concert was always better when he was there. His soul was tuned to music-and so was his heart.

Joseph loved animals with a tenderness that matched the way he cared for people. Stray pets, stubborn houseplants, and humans alike-all flourished under his care. He was a natural nurturer with a green thumb.

He leaves behind a community of family, friends, and fans of his "famous" cooking, all better for having known him. His laugh-huge, unforgettable-echoes still in the memories we carry.

We'll miss him fiercely. But we'll also smile when the music plays!

Joseph is survived by his companion, Steven L. Williams of Lima; brother, James (Lisa) McIntyre of Sandusky; sisters, Jonna (Rick) Siferd of Findlay and Jennifer McIntyre of Fostoria; nieces and nephews, Brandi (Kurt) Anderson, Jimmy (Paige) McIntyre, Ryan (Heather) McIntyre, Austin Siferd, Ricky Siferd and Rachel McIntyre.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, John H. McIntyre Jr.

Joseph was a U.S. Navy veteran.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 16, 2025. Location to be determined, contact family for details.

All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
