John L. Hutton

John L. Hutton, 70, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.

He was born May 8, 1953, the son of T. Lee and Irene (Heldman) Hutton. He married Doris Eaton on July 20, 1974, celebrating just short of 50 years of marriage, and she survives in Findlay.

John's survivors also include his son, Jason (Jenny) Hutton of Findlay; daughters, Heather (Larry II) Siferd of Findlay, Stacey Lentz of Findlay, and Tressa (Grayson) Henry of Shaker Heights; grandchildren, Evan, Jace, and Ella Hutton, Isabel and Greysen Lentz, Lola and Kanan Henry, and Ashley (Will) Butler; brothers, Bill (Karen) Hutton of Rochester, Minnesota, and Don (Diane) Hutton of Findlay; and sisters, Margaret (Rich) Lillo of Panama City, Florida, Sharon (Dan) Zimmer of Prescott, Arizona, and Martha (Steve) Weihrauch of Jenera.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

John was a 1971 Findlay High School graduate and retired from Ball Metal in 2018 after 44 years of service. He always had a joke or story to tell anyone who would listen. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, concrete work, masonry, and cutting wood. John enjoyed a cold beer and spending time with his friends, being the family grill master, and working on his cars. He had a good sense of humor, heart of gold, and would truly give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Most of all, he cherished his family and was always present at his grandchildren's events. His family has been blessed with many fond memories.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. John's funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the funeral home with his brother, Don Hutton, officiating. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.
