John Borgelt Obituary

John Charles Borgelt

John Charles Borgelt, 73, was welcomed into his heavenly home Wednesday, July 17, 2024, finishing his journey at Bridge Hospice, Findlay.

John was born Sept. 5, 1950, to William and Alice Borgelt. He married Kay Diller on Aug. 5, 1972, and she survives. They enjoyed almost 52 years of marriage and were blessed with two daughters, Elisa (Neal) Newhof and Mandy (Paul) Bishop. God gave them nine beautiful grandchildren to cherish, Abby, Sophie, Lydia, Ethan, and Isaac Newhof, and Caden, Ryan, Lainey, and Molly Bishop. He is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, Barbara Peters, Jean Gray, Carol Crist, Andy Borgelt, and Scott (Karen) Borgelt.

John was a faithful Christian, husband, dad, and grandpa. He enjoyed hosting gatherings and planning adventures for his family and friends. He loved to sing, ride snowmobiles, play games, and cheer on his children and grandchildren at their events. John served at Good Shepherd Church as a music leader, trustee, and member of the choir and orchestra. He graduated from McComb High School, attended Bowling Green State University, and owned Buckeye Rusco Windows and Doors. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

John's celebration of life open house will be Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Good Shepherd Church, 119 Main Street, Benton Ridge. In place of a traditional visitation and funeral, friends and family are welcome to come any time from 1:30-5:30 p.m. to remember and celebrate John's life. Burial will be at Benton Ridge Cemetery.

Contributions in John's memory may be shared with Good Shepherd Church, 119 Main St., Benton Ridge, Ohio, 45816, or Bridge Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, Ohio, 45840.

So sorry to hear about John passing on. I know he is in good hands with our Heavenly Father. Our prayers go out to the family and friends. I had the privilege to serve on Trustees with John and also hear his wonderful voice lead worship in song. He will be missed.

I met John many moons ago, when he had Buckeye Rusco Windows and Doors.. Very friendly and kind person who took concern in what people wanted. My condolences to your family and friends.
