JoAnn Averesch Obituary
JoAnn C. Averesch, 80, of Ottawa, passed away at 11:27 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at Mercy Health St. Rita's Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf.
She was born May 14, 1942, in Botkins, to the late John and Emma (Lindhaus) Kramer. She married Jerome "Romie" Averesch on June 10, 1967, and he preceded her in death Nov. 9, 1994.
JoAnn's survivors include three children, Jerry (Rachael) Averesch of Ottawa, Jason (Deanna) Averesch of Kalida, and Justin Averesch of Ottawa; six grandchildren, Emma Averesch and Anna Averesch, both of Ottawa, Jaydreanna Hoyt of Dayton, Kyla Hoyt of Paulding, Makenna Hoyt of Ottawa, and Alysen Hoyt of Kalida; three great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Camille Kramer of Wapakoneta, Nancy Kramer of Botkins, and Linda Kramer of Wapakoneta; and brother-in-law, Carl "Wendell" Fronk of Uhrichsville.
She was also preceded in death by seven siblings, Paul (Alma) Kramer, Ivo Kramer, Kenny Kramer, Myron "Mick" Kramer, Irene (Clyde) Shaffer, Rita Fronk, and Gloria (Al) Bauer.
JoAnn retired from Philips, Ottawa. She enjoyed traveling, going for walks, landscaping, gardening, and small animals, especially her dogs. JoAnn loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Funeral Mass will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, and 12-1 p.m. Friday at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Humane Society.
