Jean Baker Obituary
Jean Baker, 79, of Findlay, died at 8:04 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Bridge Hospice in Findlay. She was born March 15, 1945, in Toledo to the late Gilbert and Beatrice (Schaefer) Urban. On September 12, 1964, she married Robert E. Baker and he survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jay (Monica) Baker of Gahanna; daughter, Beth Baker Courtright of Sylvania; grandchildren, Blake (Ashley), Cael (fiancee, Lauren), Luke, Kane and Jack Baker, Kathryn and Jared Courtright; sisters, Martha Strayer of Monclova and Shirley (Bill) Bartkavage of Toledo.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Alice Blessing, Doris Morris, and Joan Derrick.
Jean was a member of Flag City Corvette Club, Findlay CCL, and Eastern Star. She volunteered at Nearly New Shop and enjoyed supporting her grandchildren. She retired in 2012 as an administrative secretary at Cooper Tire Company.
Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay. A Celebration of Life Service will be at the conclusion of the visitation at 2 p.m. Interment will be at a later date at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park in Toledo.
Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society.
