Janet Powell Obituary
Janet "Jan" S. Powell, 79, of Findlay, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. She was born in Warsaw, Indiana, October 02, 1945, to the late Walter Clause and Audrey (Streby) Harman. She married her husband, Dick Powell, December 15, 1978, in Findlay, and he preceded her in death January 12, 2024.
Jan is survived by her children, John (Traci) Henschen and Tammy (Jeff) Stahl; six stepchildren; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Mary Lou Ducat and Kimberlie (Keith) Reynolds; her many nieces and nephews; and her cat, Baby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and her brothers, Walter, Donald and William Harman.
Janet worked as a Personnel Manager for Metal Forge in Deshler and later at Cooper Tire. She enjoyed working with Flag City Honor Flight and Christian Clearing House, spending time at the beach with family, and being an avid reader.
A gathering for family and friends will be from 10-12 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at Hanneman Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Avenue, Findlay.
Donations in Jan's memory may be shared with Flag City Honor Flight, Bridge Hospice, or Christian Clearing House.

Janet was a true inspiration. We first met at the CCH garage sale intake days. Needless to say, I was impressed with her knowledge of jewelry and antiques. She was always kind, considerate, had a smile on her face even though I sensed sometimes the work was tiring at times. However, she "owned" perseverance...one could sense her determination and love for helping her friends, family and community. Prayers are with the family as you navigate thru this difficult time.
