James Stock Obituary
James Robert Stock Sr., 85, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at Manor at Greendale.
He was born March 26, 1938, in Carey, to Henry and Mary (Gobrecht) Stock. He married Frances Smith Wolfrum on May 21, 1994.
James was a member of the 1956 graduating class at Carey High School. He then enrolled in U.S. Army. He worked at National Lime and Stone in Carey for 40 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge Findlay and 50 North Senior Center. James' favorite hobbies were bowling and fishing.
Those left behind to cherish James' memory are his wife, Frances; sons, J.R. (Pam) Stock Jr. and Kenneth (Willa) Stock; stepchildren, Lisa (Tim) Toman, Kara Rendek, and Joshua (Emily Montiel) Wolfrum; brother, Donald Stock; sisters, Belva May and Ruth Racheter; grandchildren, Kendrick Stock and Patrick Rockow; nine stepgrandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Phyllis Stock; son, Timothy Stock; daughter-in-law, Jenny Stock; and grandson, Victor Stock.
Visitation for friends and family will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. The graveside service and interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey, with Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad conducting full military honors.
In honor of the wonderful care they provided to James, memorial contributions in his name can be made to The Manor at Greendale, 2101 Greendale Ave., Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
