James Shively Obituary

James L. Shively

James L. Shively, 73, of Findlay, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care, Findlay. He was born Oct. 13, 1948, in Tiffin, the son of the late Harley and Connie (Hawkins) Shively. He married Carol Swisher on Aug. 31, 1973, and she survives in Findlay.

Survivors also include his sons, Mark (Wendy) Shively of Findlay and Matthew (Jennifer) Shively of Springboro, Ohio; daughter, Sara (Matt) Adamson of Beavercreek, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Aiden, Cadence, Patrick, Gabriel, and Carter.

James was a district executive of Boy Scouts of America in Bowling Green and Lima. He served his country as a retired Master Sergeant in U.S. Air Force and was also in Army Reserve for many years. He was a member of D.A.V. Findlay Post #43 and attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Findlay. James was also a graduate of Bowling Green State University and was in Fraternity Pi Kappa Alpha.

A celebration of life service will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed towards Bridge Hospice or Muscular Dystrophy Association. Arrangements are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Online condolences may be made at www.coldrencrates.com.
