James Schiltz Obituary
James Robert "Jimmy" Schiltz moved on to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmy was born Feb. 12, 1967.
Jimmy is survived by his longtime partner, Kelly Frost; her children, Braden, Landen, and Taylor; daughter, Logan Schiltz; her partner, Josh Tavenier; stepson, Bradley Steinman; parents, Sue and Roy William "Bill" Schiltz; brother and sister-in-law, Charles "Chuck" and Wendy Schiltz; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins on both the Schiltz and Tate sides of his family.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard and Velma Schiltz; and maternal grandparents, Charles and Florinne Tate.
Following in the footsteps of his great-grandfather, father, and brother, Jimmy worked at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company for 35 years. He was very close to his "Cooper Family." He loved and respected them all.
He was a big lovable Teddy Bear to his only child and referred to her as his "Pookie Girl." He enjoyed Sunday golf with his father, brother, and stepson, Bradley. Jimmy was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Denver Broncos, and Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed participating in fantasy football at Ralphies Sports Eatery. Jimmy described his best memories as fly fishing with his uncles, Art, Ron, and Jim, on the Gunnison, Green, Snake, and White Rivers in Colorado and Wyoming.
Jimmy was truly a man of integrity and compassion. It was an honor to call him son, dad, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and partner.
A celebration of life service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022, at Findlay Moose Lodge #698 with Minister Debra Dickerson officiating and following with fellowship and food until 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed towards St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed at www.coldrencrates.com.
