JAMES LEE KALK
Born: January 16, 1937
Died: September 22, 2022
James Lee Kalk (Jake) born January 16, 1937, passed away at the age of 85, on September 22, 2022 in Sycamore, Illinois.
He was born and raised in Rochelle Illinois. He spent a lot of time working on and restoring cars, racing stock cars, golfing, fishing, sky diving and he played football in his teens.
On September 24, 1960 he married Charlotte M. Jacox and up to his death they've been married two days shy of 62 years. In his lifetime he worked at Quest Ready Mix, Tallitsch, Joyce Pontiac and Mooney's. Jake had a good sense of humor and a good heart. He enjoyed watching cooking shows (although he said he couldn't cook). Jake also enjoyed watching sports, his favorite teams are the Cubs and Bears.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte M. Kalk; his children, Donnie L. Kalk of Arkansas, Michele (John) Gibbs of Georgia, Mike (Mary) Kalk of Illinois, Doris Toler of North Carolina; seven Grandsons, one granddaughter, three great-grandsons and five great-granddaughters; niece, Lynnette Stover.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Anderson Funeral Home 2011 South 4th Street, DeKalb, Illinois. A small service following for family members only.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Kalk Family in care of Anderson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 605, 2011 South Fourth Street, DeKalb, IL 60115.
