James Bickford Obituary
James I. Bickford, 79, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025. He was born October 16, 1945, the son of the late Irving and Kathryn (Levingston) Bickford.
In James' own words on Death and Dying he left this message, "I had hoped things would have gone better, more fulfilling. Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it. Why hast thou made me so. I have fought against no man and leave this world in peace. Looking forward to getting out of here. With Jesus that's where I'll be."
James cherished Job 1:21: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."
On services, he instructed: "I'd just as soon be cremated. Put me in a coffee can, take my ashes to a nice place spreadm. Don't need a showing. Don't want it in the paper. Don't care if anyone knows, whatever I'm home. Don't worry yourselves.
James also left a handwritten message for friends and family, "Love ya'll. Stay strong. Go with God. Pilgrim Jim.

Jim and I were friends at Hope Temple in the 70's and 80's. We went out street witnessing with Bob Houck and others many times. We went to Bible studies at the Milan MI prison. I'm glad to see he was faithful and strong to the end.

I knew Jim from Whirlpool and was a co-worker friend.I always remember seeing him in his bib overalls at work and enjoyed working with him.
