Holley Hance Obituary
Holley H. Hance, 95, of Findlay, went to heaven Friday, February 13, 2026. Born in Asheville, North Carolina, July 13, 1930, to Mollie (Green) and Herman Holley Hance, Holley was preceded in death by his three brothers, Oliver, Faber, and Quest.
A graduate of Ninety-Six High School in South Carolina, Holley answered the call to serve his country by joining the Navy just days before receiving his Army draft notice. He served honorably during the Korean War from 1950 to 1954. After his military service, Holley attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, where he met the love of his life, Esther (Copus). The two were blessed with 68 years of devoted marriage.
Holley went on to graduate from Bowling Green State University and dedicated his career to teaching special education in North Baltimore and Wauseon, retiring after 30 years of service. Holley and Esther were proud parents of two daughters, Candace Hauck of Lebanon and Robin George of Findlay. He was a loving grandfather to nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Holley had a passion for life and a heart for others. He enjoyed exercising, fishing, sports, airplanes, gardening, and especially his church community. Holley was known for his daily devotions and his steadfast faith, always eager to share the message of Jesus wherever he went. His favorite pastime was meeting new people and handing out scripture cards, often asking if they knew Jesus before even learning their name. Through his prayers, offered faithfully twice a day for friends, family, and even strangers, Holley touched countless lives. His smile, encouragement and unwavering positivity, even during times of illness, will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation is from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Upper Room Church of God, with Celebration of Life service immediately following, Pastor Ken McBeath officiating. Graveside service with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bechtel Cemetery, Van Buren.

Ester and family. We are so sorry to hear of Holley's passing. It was our privilege to not only have him as our friend but also our brother in Christ. His smile and conversation always led to him sharing what the Lord had done for him. He has now reached his lifelong goal and that was to meet his Savior face to face. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Esther, Candice and Robin,
You may not remember me well, but my mom and I lived across the street from you on Morse Street. I remember Holley well. I spent many hours at your house, playing with Candice. Esther and Holley took me to church many times.
I remember Holley´s big smile, and that endearing southern accent.
While we´re sad that he has left our presence, aren´t we thrilled he´s in the Lord´s presence!
Praying for the peace that passes all understanding as you go through this time.

I am sad to hear of Holleys passing and at the same time happy knowing he is now with the one he always spoke of and testified to His savior Jesus.I was blessed to have him as a very close friend with whom I shared countless fishing trips and enlightened conversations about life and God.He was always a beacon of light full of wisdom and encouragement.Looking forward to our next '' Meeting in the Air'' ...Miss you Brother...Dave Pauline
