Helen (Corrigan) Paulin, longtime resident of Chicopee, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield at the age of 83. Helen was born in Lanarkshire, Scotland, on June 20, 1939, a daughter of Patrick and Isabella (McLaughlin) Corrigan, she was raised and educated in Glasgow, before immigrating to the United States in 1949. She was employed as a machinist for several years at the former National Blank Book (now known as Avery) in Holyoke. Helen was proud of her Irish Heritage and acquired many hobbies and interests, over the years, including the current fashions and music. She leaves behind her loving children, James Paulin and his wife, Kathleen of Agawam, Jennifer and Lorrene Paulin both of Chicopee, 4 grandchildren, Caitlin, Michael, and Kevin Paulin, and Amanda Gevry, and by 1 great grandson, Conner Turkowski, and 1 great granddaughter, Harley Dolan. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her former husband, Rolland Paulin, and two sons, Richard and Kenneth Paulin. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, May 9, for a period of visitation from 10–11 a.m. at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Committal prayers and burial will follow immediately after the service at St. Rose De Lima Cemetery, Chicopee. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's name may be made to Dakin Humane Society, P.O. I'm so sorry for your loss. We would always speak with your mom over the phone. My father, Bart and Helen would speak all the time and we would go on speaker phone and have a party line. May she be in peace now.
