Gregory Rockhill

Gregory Rockhill, 56, of North Baltimore, passed away at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at his residence.

He was born March 28, 1966, in Elwood, Indiana, to Terry and Arlene (Sizelove) Rockhill. He married Mickey Striplin on June 21, 1986, and she survives.

Greg is also survived by his mother, Arlene (Richard) McCord of Muncie, Indiana; sons, Joshua Rockhill, Jacob Rockhill, and Malaki Peyton-Hobbs, all of North Baltimore; daughter, Chastity Peyton of Alexandria, Indiana; and sisters, Pam (Rob) Bennett of New Mexico, and Shelley (Roy) Brannon of Muncie, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Rockhill; brother, Todd Rockhill; and sister, Missy Rockhill.

Greg retired from U.S. Army after serving our country for 20 years. He also worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 15 years, and most recently the last year for the Village of North Baltimore. He was a member of North Baltimore American Legion Post 539 and Fraternal Order of Eagles #2633. Greg was a great husband and father who enjoyed bowling and golfing, but most of all, loved life.

Greg's funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore. Burial will be at New Maplewood Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, at the funeral home.
