George West Obituary
George P. West Jr., 62, of Findlay, passed away at his residence Tuesday, January 28, 2025. He was born in Evansville, Indiana, January 6, 1963, to George P. West Sr. and Dorothy E. (Wertz) West. Since the age of two, he's resided in Puerto Rico, Chicago, Canada, and Findlay. Active as a boy in Scouts Canada, he earned its highest award, Chief Scout's Award. Always interested in automobiles, George obtained a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and worked at Chrysler Corporation, Jeep Division, in Toledo. George subsequently retired from Walmart, Inc. January 1, 2025. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed heavy metal music, building complex LEGO layouts, and taking road trips on his Harley-Davidson.
George is survived by his wife of 25 years, Teresa; sister, Lynne (Mark) West; half sister, Sophia West; half brother Evgeny West; and stepmother, Susan West. George also is survived by stepsons, John and Fritz Green; stepdaughters, Brenda Hoose, April (Josh) Karhoff, and Michelle (Kevin) Willis; as well as many beloved grandchildren, Shaylee (James), Matt, Lane (Meghan), Nathaniel, Trinidi, Melody, Logan, Gabriel, Faith, Madison, and Owen; plus great-grandchildren, Natalie, Ashton, and Hadley.
George was preceded in death by his parents, George P. Sr. and Dorothy E. (Wertz) West; and grandson, Lantz.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with David Rath of Movement Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Armes Family Cancer Center, Findlay.

Oh my dear Teresa Dan and I are beyond shocked to learn of George´s passing. I wish I could be there to hug you. We will forever carry George in the many good memories we have of you both. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.o
