Evelyn R. Langstaff

Evelyn R. Langstaff, 102, of Defiance, and formerly of Findlay, passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at Kingsbury Place in Defiance.

She was born Oct. 27, 1920, in Toledo, to George D. and Audrey M. (Benjamin) Fellers. She lived most of her life in Findlay and moved to Defiance last year.

She was married to Merlin R. Beck and raised four children. He preceded her in death in 1975. She later married Bernard L. "Bud" Langstaff on Oct. 13, 1977, and he preceded her in death Oct. 17, 2003.

She will be sadly missed by her sons, Jerry A. Beck of Clovis, New Mexico, and William J. (Sharon) Beck of Defiance; grandchildren, David and Tracy Tweed, Debbie and Dan Hill, Kim Morris, Ricky Beck, Sandy Carano, Dustin Weist, Denise Payne, Lani Weist, Amy Good, Sharri Gee, and Jon Rohrs; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sally E. Thompson and Judy Ann (Harold) Weist of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; two sisters, Betty Stone and Leona Burdock; and grandson, Timothy W. Beck.

Evelyn was a member of Hancock County Senior Center and Ohio Star Quilt Club. She retired from the Quality Control Department at RCA in Findlay in 1980 after 26 years with the company.

Visitation will take place 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio, 45840. Evelyn's funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Knollcrest Gardens near Arcadia.
