Eugene Grieser Obituary

Eugene H. "Gene" Grieser

Eugene H. "Gene" Grieser, 84, formerly of rural Jenera and currently of Findlay, died at 8:37 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2024 at Manor at Greendale in Findlay. He was born June 8, 1940, in Jenera, Ohio to the late Alva and Eva Marie (Essinger) Grieser. He married Carol L. Lhamon on May 16, 1965 and she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Scott (Sherry) Grieser of Arlington; a daughter, Dawn (Don) Osborn of Arlington; grandchildren, Zachary (Melissa) Grieser, Logan (Morgan) Grieser and Kira Osborn; great-grandson, Hunter Alan Grieser and another great-grandson is on the way; a brother, Robert (Barbara) Grieser; a sister, Caroline Neerman of Shrevesport, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Grieser; sisters, Leora Grostick and Virginia Shively; half brothers, Luther, Wendell and Paul Grieser; half sisters, Edith Wilson and Florence Bakle.

Gene was a 1958 graduate of Arlington High School and a lifetime member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Jenera.

A graveside service will be at St. Paul's Cemetery in the near future. The arrangements are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay.

Memorials may be given to either Hancock County Humane Society or Bridge Hospice.
