Elizabeth Young Obituary
Elizabeth J. "Betty" Young, 88, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital ICU.
Betty was born Sept. 11, 1935, in Toledo, to Felix and Sophia (Kujwa) Kacznarek, who preceded her in death. Betty married John W. Young, who preceded her in death April 20, 2016.
Elizabeth is survived by three sons, Ronald (Pamela) Young of Crestview, Florida, Robert (Janeen) Young of Findlay, and John Young Jr. of Findlay; grandchildren, Jacob and Nathan Young; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Arya Young; and siblings, Daniel Nowak of Clearwater, Florida, and Joanne Ballinger of Clearwater, Florida.
Betty was a member of First Christian Church and longtime member of the church choir. She loved being a homemaker and decorating for holidays especially, going all out for Christmas and Halloween. Other activities that Elizabeth enjoyed were camping, ballet, traveling to Holland, collecting delft pottery, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had an adventure-filled spirit and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, until the time of Betty's funeral at 3 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Pastor Eric Rummel will officiate.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Elizabeth to First Christian Church.
