Elaine S. Dirmeyer

Elaine S. Dirmeyer, 76 of Dunkirk, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, January 28, 2026. She was born December 12, 1949, in Findlay,to the late Robert D. and Mabel I. (VanAtta) Beard. Elaine married Carl Brewster, and he preceded her in death. She then married Roger Dirmeyer, April 6, 1974, and he survives, along with three daughters, Angela (Courtney) Whitaker of Ada, Carole Dirmeyer of Arlington and Amber (Kenneth) Hopson of Dunkirk; six grandchildren, Zane (Melea) Whitaker, Mya and Kaitlyn Whitaker, Ava, Nolan and Aspen Hopson; and a great-granddaughter, Violet Whitaker. Elaine is also survived by her brothers, Dennis (Nancy) Beard of rural Findlay and Keith (Christine) Beard of Arlington and a sister, Paulette (Dean) Davis of Arlington.

She was a 1968 graduate of Arlington High School. Elaine retired from Wilson Football Factory in Ada. She was an avid Hardin Northern Polar Bear and Ohio State Buckeye fan. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending all of their sporting events. She also enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and taking bus tours with her husband. Elaine was also a longtime member of Bethel Church of Christ, Ada.

A private funeral service will be at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington. Burial will follow in Dola Cemetery.

Memorial contribu-tions can be made in memory of Elaine to a charity of the donor's choice.
