Many years ago, at the Sportsman“s Club in Miller City, I remember meeting Edith and Paul at a Marv Herzog polka dance on a Saturday night. There were also the polka festivals all around the area where they would bring the younger kids along to the dances, and I sometimes danced with them. We sure did love Polka music!
Years passed by, but I returned to the neighborhood to meet up with Edith in Kalida Meadows one afternoon to catch up on folks around our neighborhood. She always had the scoop! I was working a different job that lead me to her house to help out regularly. We had many long talks, watched TV, wrapped presents, went on drives & to church, and went to Open Microphone night up at the Continental American Legion to hear Len Collier and all his buddies play good ole Music, even a few Polkas. Edith was a woman of many words. People always stopped and talked with her. She loved talking about her family. She loved all the children so much.
My condolences to each and every one of you. May God comfort you at this time. RIP Edith
