Edith Easley Obituary

Edith "Edie" Easley

Edith "Edie" Easley, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, July 12, 2025. Born December 15, 1939, in Ohio, Edie was a woman of strength, grace, and dedication to every place she called home. Edie graduated from Fostoria High School in 1957, and that same year, on August 4, she married the love of her life, James "Jim" Easley. She later graduated from Tiffin University in 1975. Edie began her professional career at Cooper Tire in Findlay, where she worked for 20 years. In 1979, she and Jim relocated to Tupelo, Mississippi, to help open the city's Cooper Tire facility as plant secretary, becoming the first woman hired at the Tupelo location. During her life, Edie dedicated herself to organizations that uplifted women and held leadership roles that contributed to the development of her community in Ohio and Mississippi.

Faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Bloomdale for over 25 years, and most recently Cornerstone Fellowship Church from 2009 until her passing in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Mulberry St., Bloomdale. Family and friends will gather at 10:30 a.m. There will be a private family burial at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.

Survivors include her daughter, Theresa "Terri" Beauvais (Rick) of Tupelo, Mississippi; two sons, Kip B. Easley and Darren V. Easley (Laurie), all of Tupelo, Mississippi; sisters-in-law, Carol Easley of Cincinnati, and Diane Newman of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Anna Schaub (Jimmy), Andrew Easley, Dylan Beauvais (Kelsey), Belle Beauvais (Stephen), Heather Easley, Victoria Easley and Joshua Easley (Jill); ten great-grandchildren, Matthew Easley, Tyler Schaub, Carter Schaub, Elizabeth Schaub, Vanessa Easley, Isabella, Eli, Kaylee Clifton, Aurora Easley, and Jace Easley; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Easley; her parents, Stella and Alfred Wagner; brother, Joe Wagner; and sister, Joyce Kidd.
