Douglas Bland Obituary
Douglas F. Bland, 62, formerly of Findlay and Sycamore, died at 4:26 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Kenton Nursing and Rehab.
He was born July 21, 1960, in Upper Sandusky, to William F and Donna L. (Wertz) Bland. William died Jan. 14, 2023, and Donna survives in Findlay.
He is also survived by a sister, Amie (Scott Dutton) Bland of Findlay; two nieces, KiaLynne Bland of Columbus and DeLainie Bland of Findlay; and girlfriend, Tara Johnson of Kenton.
He at one time was an assembler at Whirlpool of Findlay, a 1978 graduate of Mohawk High School, attended Dillon Road Baptist Church, Fostoria, and currently was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church in Seneca County. For hobbies, he loved to cook, sew, and do flower arranging where he won many times at the Ohio State Fair and various county fairs in the area.
Douglas' funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with Pastor Jesse Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Seneca County. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in care of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O. Box 350, Sycamore, Ohio, 44882.
