Donna L. Gohlke

Donna L. Gohlke, age 81, of Findlay, died at 10:50pm on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Birchaven Care Center in Findlay. She was born on September 20, 1940, in Mars, Pa. to the late Robert M. and Ruth (Graham) Leslie. She married Fred W. Gohlke Jr. on September 19, 1964 and he survives.

Also surviving are a son, Jon Gohlke of Frederickstown, Ohio; daughter, Susan (Tony) Goare Smith of Lima, sisters: Barbara Moore of Upper Sandusky, Linda Hays of Bedford, Pa. and Judy Williams of Bedford, Pa.; grandchildren: Aja (Dustin) Goare Klemann, Jasmine (Daniel Regina) Goare, Alyssa Gohlke, Chris (Natalie) Smith, Darren (Richelle) Smith, and Trey (Hannah) Smith and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Tiffany Gohlke; brother, Robert Leslie; sisters: Mary Lou Hutchison, Eleanor Stansberry, and Carol Green.

Donna was a 1958 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School. She had worked as a keypunch operator at Cooper Tire, a secretary at St. John's Lutheran and retired in 1999, as the bookkeeper for the Hancock County Humane Society. She enjoyed flowers, herbs and was a garden club member. She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church since 1964, where she had been a homework assistance coordinator for years. She had been a Girl Scout Leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother. Donna was intent on being of service to people in need. She was especially involved with helping her grandchildren participate in all types of activities.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay, from 10:00 to 12:00pm, where the funeral will begin at the conclusion of the visitation at 12:00 am with Pastor Doris Mars officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to either the Hancock County Humane Society or to Bridge Hospice. Online condolences are welcomed at www.coldrencrates.com.
