Donald Lawrence Obituary

Donald Frank Lawrence

Donald Frank Lawrence, 96, formerly of Bellville, Texas and Jackson, Michigan and currently living in Findlay, Ohio, died at 2:03 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at Bridge Hospice in Findlay.

Don was born May 19, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Lawrence A. and Julia (Doba) Lawrence. On February 28, 1953, he married Patricia Ann Aten and she preceded him in death June 1, 2020. Surviving are sons, Jeff of Mexico, Ken (Marie) of New Mexico and Don (Lora) Lawrence Jr. of Findlay; daughter, Janet (Gary) Stevens of Jackson, Michigan; grandchildren, Kristen, Kelley, Michael, Bridget, Caroline, Kim and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Evelyn, Lily, Hamza and Walker.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Chuck, Bud, June and Joy.

Don retired as a sales manager in the steel industry. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Among his many memberships were Masons, Elks, Lions, Bellville, Texas Emergency Relief Fund, Historical Society, Austin County Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Crime Stoppers and earned Bellville Citizen of the Year. He was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi and enjoyed reading, golf, playing cards and traveling.

All services for Don will be private. The arrangements are being handled by COLDREN CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 West Sandusky Street in Findlay, Ohio. Online condolences are welcomed at www.coldrencrates.com.
